Ferns Display Their Finery

There were ferns of man varieties on display at the annual meeting of the Nelson Fern Society. Some young people might think fern growing is strictly for oldies. Take a look at the bottom photo and stand corrected.

This fine collection belonged to an original member of the society, Mr George Barltrop, and since his death other members have been caring for the collection. Mr R. W. Martin, the oldest member of the society, and Mrs R. A. Thomas inspect the display

Mr Barltrop's collection also came under scrutiny from younger members Ross Eden, Carolyn Rollo, Christine Rollo and David Wareing
