Boat Show

Sixty-six boats, ranging from a small plywood dinghy to a 22ft inboard, brought spectators by the thousand to see the two-day boat show organised by the Monaco Boat Club at Monaco. Needless to say this first venture by the club was a tremendous success. Many of the boats displayed represented hundreds of man hours by patient, would-be boat owners, and others again were factory built. One of the most interesting features of this show was the sizes and types of trailer used for the boats' transport. Some of them were aost elaborate affairs and cost nearly as much as the boats themselves. Another interesting feature was the range of power units. There were small outboards, whopper outboards, coupled double outboards and some monstrous inboards.
