Nurses Graduate

Fourteen nurses who trained at Nelson Public Hospital and who graduated recently, received their Registered Nurses' medals at a graduation ceremony in the nurses' home. Mrs M. Pickard, Dominion secretary of the New Zealand Registered Nurses' Association addressed the large gathering of nurses and friends and presented the medals. Included In the graduation list were five nurses who passed their examinations with distinction, one of them, Staff Nurse P. J. Lough being awarded a gold medal by the hospital board for her achievement in securing top place equal in New Zealand in the state exam.
