Parker Shield to Trafalgar

Superiority in women's races paved the way for Trafalgar's easy win in the annual interclub Parker Shield harrier event. Trafalgar, which scored 56 points, won all the women's races. The Nelson club was second with 81 points. Other clubs were: Richmond, 115, and Methodist, 170. The meeting was held in ideal conditions at Wakapuaka.

John Dixon easily won the senior race but here he has a quick look behind to see who is following. Brian Jacobsen is far enough behind for safety

Murray Dellow, winner of the colts' race, has already established a sound lead first time over the hill. The rest of the field is strung out behind
