New Home For Nelson Baskettball

Congratulations to the Nelson Basketball Association on its new stadium at Stoke. As association president Frank Baldwin said at the opening ceremony: "You can't build a $63, 000 stadium for $38, 000 without a lot of voluntary labour."

During the afternoon before the opening, various indoor sports were played, including soccer. Rep. basketball matches between Nelson and Canterbury were played after the opening and Nelson won both the men's and women's encounters.
