Football - The Truman Way
National soccer coach, Barrie Truman, gave Nelson players and coaches the message in his recent visit: "We're trying to get high standards here, similar to the United Kingdom."
Truman, 35, the New Zealand Football Association national coach and chairman of the selection panel, also hinted that the "old boy" ethics attitude to sponsors was holding back New Zealand's major sport - rugby. And soccer was on the up and up.
