Ngawhatu Staff Reunion
Hundreds of former staff members at Ngawhatu attended the recent staff reunion, held in conjunction with the graduation of nurses at Braemar and Ngawhatu.

Mrs Dorothy Clark (Palmerston North) and Mrs Winney Hadcroft (Christchurch). Mrs Clark was at the hospital during the 1920s and Mrs Hadcroft was there in the 1930s
Chatting over a cup of tea are Fred Lehndorf, a former head attendant at Ngawhatu for 20 years who retired in 1966 and Miss Pat Murch who was assistant matron. Miss Murch retired from Ngawhatu in 1958 after five years

Oldest nurses at the reunion were Mrs Ivy Goodess, Mrs Ethel Schroeder and Alf Corby. Mrs Schroeder receives a presentation from head matron, Miss B. A. Gleadow. The trio was at Ngawhatu in 1914
