Here and There
The total age of these six motorbikes is 211 years. Their owners were on a tour of the South Island recently and spent a couple of days in Nelson. From left: Glen Bull, 1941 Army Indian, V-twin cylinder, 500 cc; Neil Skeet, 1930 BSA, 500cc, side valve, sloper model; Graeme Wilton, 1938 BSA. 350cc O.H.V.; Dave Clarke, 1928 Harley Davidson, 1200cc V-twin, features inlet valve over exhaust valve, hand gear change and foot clutch and side car; Neville MacArthur, 1939 Ariel, square four box, four cylinder, 1000cc and last of the spring heel models; Brad Dickinson, 1939 Ariel, 500cc single, Red Hunter model. All except Dave, who is from Wellington, are members of the Wairarapa Vintage Car Club.

This Coronation bowling four won the Einstone Cup, donated for a mixed rinks tournament by Mrs D. Challies. Proceeds for the tournament go to the Foundation for the Blind. The team is: Standing, Vera Plum, Molly Glasgow. Sitting, Mavis Senior, Ethne Stallard.
Two life members were elected at the annual meeting of the Nelson Football Association - Syd. Guppy and Jack McKnight.
