Tricky Paint Job

Ropes were a very important part of the equipment used by the staff of Nalder Bros. while they were painting the roof of New Zealand's tallest wooden building-the Sacred Heart Convent in Manuka Street. To get some idea of the conditions we took our cameras on to the roof to photograph Neil Granger, Charlie Nalder and Joe Hunt (Below) as they painted the north-west face (Above). The pic at Right, shows the ant-like figures of the painters at the highest points of the convent.
