Bridal Gown of the Year

McKay's store held its annual "Bridal Gown of the Year" contest last month. Twenty-three brides of the year accepted the store's offer to wear their bridal gowns for a second time in a year. First place (on popular vote) went to the gown of Mrs A. Pessione (formerly Margherita Davanzo), now living in Canada. The gown was modelled by Morag Fraser. Mrs May Irvine (Brightwater) was second and Mrs L. C. Clouston (Neudorf) was third.
