At the Motor Camp

Nelson's major motor camp, at Tahunanui Beach, has been a hive of activity of late. Acting on a Civil Aviation Department directive, about 60 trees on the flight path to the airport have been topped by woodsmen. The pic Above shows the effects of the topping, the trees at left having already been shorn.

The new laundry and shower block is nearing completion. The building, to house showers, a laundry, drying room and a boiler house, is costing $26,000 and will be ready for the Christmas holiday period.
