Inter-School Cross-Country

The first inter-secondary schools' cross-country championships, embracing the Nelson and Marlborough districts, were held last month at Wakapuaka.

Seven secondary schools competed. In a tremendous battle for college honours, Nelson and Marlborough colleges tied with 67 points. Marlborough won the senior event and was second in the intermediate and junior events. Nelson College was second in the senior and won the junior and intermediate races. Nayland College had a good win in the women's event with Waimea College second.
