Otago University Team Wins Motueka-Nelson Relay

Cracking on the pace in the last mile of the 35-mile run from Motueka to Nelson, the Otago University team snatched victory from Wellington A by a mere 12 seconds. Nelson A came home third in a little more than a minute behind the Otago team. In winning, Otago University created a new record for the run. There were other records established. A record number of 28 teams entered, and, judging from the traffic on the road, a record number of enthusiasts turned out to watch the very keen tussle.
