Braemar Ball Went Back to the "Roaring 20's"

Seven graduates of Braemar Hospital were presented to the Leader of the Opposition (Mr Kirk) and Mrs Kirk, at the annual Braemar Ball. This ball has established itself as one of the highlights of the social season. This year the theme was the "Roaring 20s" and on duty nurses dressed accordingly. This group appears more Edwardian than "Roarin'20s" - it comprises Jenny Elliott, Mike Green, Virginia Strong, Dave Nicoll, Vannya Way, and Gary Walling.

Gay 20s girls on the job: Margaret Lancaster, Allison Taylor, Karen Miller, Doreen Walton.

The official party: Dr W. O'Reilly, medical superintendent of Ngawhatu and Braemar hospitals, Mr and Mrs Kirk, Mr and Mrs Whitehead and Mrs O'Reilly.
