Roving Camera

Pottering around the Lions playground at Tahunanui recently, we came across Hank Hylkema feeding the gulls. He's been doing this for some time and it was obvious that many of the gulls have come to trust him. We got this sequence of pix as gulls came in to pick up crusts from his fingers. Top Left - Landing gear down. Above - Flaps down. Left - Perfect landing and gobble down.

We couldn't find out who he was, but this youngster was either out to do the shopping for Mum or was limbering up for a mountain trek with this huge pack on his back, as we passed him one day.
