Time Runs out for Town Clock

While contractors from all over the country have been inspecting the now unoccupied Chief Post Office prior to submitting tenders, watchmakers have been hard at it removing the old but very valuable mechanism of the Post Office clock. Working on this job have been employees of Louis Kerr Ltd., the firm which has serviced it almost since it was installed. They report the mechanism to be in excellent condition with little or no wear in the hundreds of moving parts. We watched them as they completed their task. An appeal has been made to the postal authorities to incorporate another tower for the clock in the new Post Office. Let's get behind this appeal! Now is the time to make it.
