Chief Sea Scout Visits Nelson

An old boy of the Iron Duke Sea Scouts returned to inspect the troop earlier this month and to present to the starboard watch a trophy which he himself had won 38 years earlier. The "visitor" was Rear Admiral J. O'C. Ross, now National Commissioner for Sea Scouts. Rear Admiral Ross, after inspecting the troop, met officers and members of the troop committee informally. He also inspected the Achilles Sea Scouts. At LEFT, senior coxswain of the Starboard Watch, Terry Brewerton, and Rear Admiral Ross, look for the Rear Admiral's name on the shield.
