Bob Goodale, a son of Mr and Mrs A. J. Goodale, 48 Oxford Street, Richmond, returned home recently after spending three years abroad working in zoos (most of the time in Cologne). In all he worked in about 50 zoos while abroad, and was in charge of the bird department at Cologne Zoo (recognised as one of the leading world zoos). These two pix were taken while he was relieving in other departments at Cologne. Already he's getting homesick for the birds and animals, however, and he is considering returning to Cologne.

Alfred and Winifred Cole, 72 Motueka St, who celebrated their golden wedding anniversary recently with a party for friends and relatives.
