Horsey World

Jane Gillespie was taking her horse, Lady, over a short cut across the Maitai River--the footbridge, in fact-- when a couple of planks gave way between the horse and Lady was left dangling. Panic stations! Luckily, Lady was a quiet horse and with tons of voluntary assistance, a mobile crane, a veterinarian and lots of advice, Lady was brought to land. Our pix show Lady stranded (above) and being lifted out by crane (top right). Now, almost recovered from her ordeal, Lady is back safely with Jane again (below). (Top pix by Peter Cooper).

Anew arrival in the horsey world. To Ballerina and dad, Highland Rebel, a gorgeous colt (Highland Rebel). Owner, Linda Thomas is thrilled also.
