When it was decided to demolish the old Provincial Council Building, the Ministry of Works gave an undertaking to provide the city with an exact replica of the original building. Last month the department honoured its promise. Now, reposing in the main office of the City Council building, is this magnificent model of the old building. Some uncertainty surrounds the material used in its construction, but it is believed to be a type of plastic. Here Mr J. J. Gonley, of the architectural division of the department.
