Chips spilled from a trailer unit on its way to the port on a recent Sunday, creating something of a traffic problem. The mishap occurred close to Hay's Corner, and although only a very small section of the total load escaped through the part-open tail-gate, it took the combined efforts of more than a dozen people a long time to clean up the resultant mess. The pic at top shows something of the moppingup operations and that below, the end of the chip trail.


Two unpleasant shocks for a couple of Quebec Road residents. Gordon Dellow got a shock when he returned from shutting his garage door to find his vehicle heading out the drive. And Ron McKay and family had an equally unpleasant shock to find the waggon parked in unconventional manner outside their back door, about 20ft below the road level.
