Promotion to the position of assistant manager of the Palmerston North branch of the A.N.Z. Bank is taking George Macfar lane, his wife, Marie, and children Andrew, John and Catherine from Nelson. George has been accountant at the Nelson bank for the last 3½ years.

From Wellington has come "Ted" Gettins, new senior overseer for the Nelson district of the New Zealand Post Office. Ted is also president of the New Zealand district of the Safety Engineering Society of Australasia.

Roy and Daphne Bolitho are leaving Nelson for Invercargill where Roy has been promoted to superintendent of the telegraph branch of the Invercargill Post Office. But they intend returning in about 2½ years to retire. Roy was senior supervisor of the branch in Nelson.
