Help Yourself at Monaco

×

Monaco has long been a favoured spot for launching power boats and for water skiing, but one of its greatest drawbacks has been a lack of parking area and access, because of the tides. The Monaco Power Boat Club, which has already laid its own launching ramp and built a jetty at the point, has now decided to end these problems, and with the blessing of the City Council is constructing a sea wall from the jetty north. The Council will assist with the metalling of a carriageway alongside house frontages, also to be built by the club. At top, piles have been driven in preparation for the timber sea wall. The area behind it will be filled. At left, members on the job pause for a quick cuppa.
