Our Cover

We've concentrated on two very important industries within the Nelson province, and, in particular, the Riwaka district, for our covers this issue. In front we feature hop pickers on the property of Mr Phil Trewavas, Brooklyn. Today this is an unusual sight as every other hop garden in the district uses machines.

Our back cover takes in a tiny segment of the big area in the Riwaka district devoted to the growing of tobacco.
