Women's Cricket

The England women's cricket team, fresh from its second test victory over New Zealand, met with little opposition in securing a 126-run first-innings win over an Invitation-xi at Trafalgar Park last month. Sent in to bat, the Invitation xi could make only 49. England made 175 for two wickets declared and at the close of play the Invitation team had lost 6 wickets in making 149 in its second innings. Included in the England team's score was an unbeaten 103 by the opener, S. Plant.
