Murchison Show Ball

Climax to the Murchison A and P Association's show was a show ball at which the Queen of the Show was chosen. Winner of the event was June Pogmore (right), a teacher at Waimea Intermediate School, Richmond. Mary Granger (above), a student of Murchison was second, and Adeline Robinson (top, far right), a teacher at Murchison District High School, was third.

Patiently awaiting their escorts are Anne French (Nelson), Dianne Sampson and Judith Gard, both Murchison. Below them are the three judges of the contest, Mesdames K. Ching, M. Brown (Mrs N.Z.), and Mr D. King.

Enjoying the ball are Lorraine Tiplady (Richmond) and John Tomlinson (Murchison).
