Successful Nelson Cup Meeting

×

Heavy rainfall during the first of the two-day Nelson Cup trotting: meeting at Richmond Park hardly detracted from a most successful meeting. Big crowds attended both days (with glorious weather on the second day) and big fields and some fine racing added to the carnival atmosphere. Cup winner was Dutch Courage, which ran an excellent race after being slow away. Glamour horse, however, was Jacquinot Bay (Above), unbeaten in five, starts.
