Bridge Opened at the Araroa
A long-awaited bridge spanning the Awatere River near its mouth alongside the township of Te Araroa was opened recently with a small ceremony,
The bridge eliminates the difficult river-crossing which settlers on the eastern side of the river had to negotiate when visiting town.
