Autumn Dog Show

Seventy-two dogs, from as far afield as Palmerston North and Auckland, were entered in the Poverty Bay Kennel Club's autumn show at the Gisborne Showgrounds recently. Judging the show was Mrs H. Hunt of Auckland.

The honour of Best Dog in the Show went to Jennifer Innes-Jones's miniature poodle, Benny of Val-Brae. It also gained the Best Non-sporting Dog award.

The Best Sporting Dog was won by Mrs K. W. Harrison's English setter, Windfield Ace.

Mrs M. A. Johansen's wire-haired fox terrier, Rayleigh Streamliner, won the Runner-up to Best Dog in Show and Best Terrier awards.

Mrs N. Jobey and J. C. Charter's Ch. Roundabout Gaiety Girl won Best Opposite Sex and Best Toy Dog awards.
