After 31 years In the shop in Gladstone Road, which is the longest-established chemist'a shop in Gisborne, Mr I. J. Corn has re-tired. On a recent Saturday morning, other chemists of the town assisted in removing Mr Corn's stock into storage elsewhere. It will be used to help stock a chemists' co-operative Urgent Medicine Pharmacy to be established shortly. From left in the pictures Mr Corn and Messrs D. Kohn, K. Walters, M. Bramweli and R. Another of nature" freaks,...a lemon, 61/2 inches long, which looks rather like a carrot. It waa grown by Mrs T. Brown, 45 Kowhai St.

The Marist third grade football team had a remarkably successful season. It waa undefeated in the competition, scaring 288 points to 50 against, lack rows R. J. Smith (coach), M. Hollman, J. Troy, I.
