Junior Golf

In a keenly contested series, played over Labour Weekend, the Poverty Bay junior Golf team emerged victors in the first Booth Shield golf tournament. The Booth Shield, which was donated by Mr and Mrs G. J. O. Booth of Ngatapa for competition between junior golf teams, is believed to be the first of its kind in New Zealand. The 60 odd golfers, representing Poverty Bay, Hawkes Bay, Manawatu, and Waikato, are pictured above in front of the club house after the tournament.
