At The Show
Beautiful early summer weather prevailed for the Poverty Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Association's annual two-day show last month, with a light cloud layer tempering the heat on People's Day. The newly-enlarged show ring, and the very complete preparations made by officials and stewards, drew favourable comment from spectators, judges, and competitors. The larger area available for the public gave rise to opinions that the crowd was not as great as usual, but in fact it was almost exactly the same as last year.
