Badminton Opens

Badminton, that wonderfully fast game with the lightweight racquets and shuttlecocks which tennis devotees like to play in winter to keep their hand in, continues with unabated popularity in Gisborne. These pictures were taken on opening night, when over 80 players turned out--of which number 35 were new to the sport.
