The delightful late summer weather which Gisborne has enjoyed this year (including most of Easter) is indicated by these pictures taken at the Kaiti School gala late in March, when the sun was almost too hot for comfort.
Most improved sales per head of population earned for the Eastern Bottling Company, Gisborne, the Coca Cola regional manager's award shield recently. Looks like Gisborne has taken Coca Cola to its heart. Officials of the firm, pictured outside the company's plant in Aberdeen Road, are, left to right, Jack Owen (plant and sales manager) Ted Hankey (production manager) and Jack Lunam (salesman).
Bowls on the school lawns were one of the many fund-raising efforts.
