A crowd quickly gathered when a late model English car collided with a truck at the corner of Gladstone Road and Bright Street. Lower picture shows the two vehicles locked together.

These strawberries make a half-crown look the size of sixpence. They were grown by Mr and Mrs McCracken, of Hansen Road, and each weighs more than an ounce. Our photographer can vouch for their flavour, too. As soon as they were on film, they disappeared like magic!
