Gisborne From the Air
Aerial pictures taken by "Photo News" recently show interesting developments in the Kaiti area.
The new Ilminster Intermediate School in De Lautour Road (centre), and Te Wharau School (right) are prominent. Above the junction of De Lautour Road with Wainui Road is the new Fitzgerald Block State Housing development. In the left-hand portion of the picture the new Kaiti Memorial Hall can be seen in the domain. Above this, note extension of State Housing roading system into the hills behind the Fitzgerald Block. Kaiti Pa is at right of the new houses, with the Kaiti Lookout extreme right.

This picture is close to being an extension to the right of the picture above and shows the Marian Drive and Grant Road development areas. Marian Drive is at left, and the Grant Road subdivision in the middle of the picture. At right, across the river, is Tukura Road, coming off Harris Street.
