Live-stock agents of Farmers' Co-operative stock companies of NZ, from Kaitaia to Bluff, met in Gisborne recently. Fifty representatives from eleven companies attended.
These companies, of which the Gisborne Sheepfarmers' Frozen Meat & Mercantile Company Ltd. is the local example, between them handle an annual turnover of £65,000,000. They are all members of the Co-operative Wholesale Federation of N.Z. Ltd., Wellington.
