New Catholic Church

Mangapapa's new Roman Catholic Church, dedicated to Pope Pius X, was opened in December by Archbishop Liston.

The cost of the project was about £8300, which was raised by voluntary contributions, bazaars, and a number of legacies.

The result is an extremely handsome building, which will fill a long-felt want for Mangapapa and district Catholics.
