A school effort by the pupils of Gisborne Girls' High School resulted in a very praiseworthy contribution of clothes for CORSO. Here senior girls who have packed and addressed the cartons pose with the goods while waiting for the carrier to call. In a recent examination for bowling umpires, out of 75 who sat throughout New Zealand, only 25 candidates passed, and in fifth place was Mr M. Grieve of Gisborne. Here Mr Grieve receives his badge from Mr George Brodie, president of the P.B.-E.C. Bowling Umpires' Association.
