Record Breaker

Most school sports records of any standing are broken (when they are broken) by inches, or fractions of inches. But a promising young athlete in the junior grade, Alison Elliott, daughter of Constable and Mrs O. J. Elliott, Stout Street, made a sensational athletic debut at the Intermediate School sports by raising the hop, step and jump record from 28.6ft to 33.1ft

In addition she raised the broad jump record by 9", broke the 75yds running record, equalled the school 1OOyds record, won the high jump, and with all this she couldn't help but collect the junior girls' championship.
