R. S. A Golf Tourney
For many years the R.S.A. golf tournament has been outstanding for the variety of "hazards" put in the way of competitors. Over the past few years "Photo News" has pictured many of these,as the hundreds of entrants struggled round the course beset by German paratoopers and the like, while the natural difficulties of the course were made worse by outlandish devices of all kinds.
This year it began to look as though novelty was wearing off. Entries were lower than usual, and the gadgets were down to a couple. The late date of the tournament did not help; but as one Kiwi remarked, "The war's getting a long way off now."
