New Branch for Old Firm

The old-established stock and station firm of Wright Stephenson and Company extended its New Zealand coverage recently with the opening of a branch in Gisborne. The handsome new premises of the company in Gladstone Road were opened last month with a largely attended gathering of city and country people. The chief speaker was the company's chairman and general manager, Mr C. U. Plimmer, and the opening ceremony was performed by the Mayor, Mr H. H. Barker.

The firm was founded in Dunedin in 1861 with two partners, and now has branches throughout the Dominion and in Australia and the United Kingdom.
