Pastor and Mrs Alan Maberly, missionaries from Nepal on the borders of Tibet, recently demonstrated Tibetan costumes to members of the Gisborne Seventh Day Adventist Church. He is wearing the same robes as worn by the Dalai Lama, made for him by the royal tailor as a mark of appreciation of his work among the Tibetans, and she is wearing the national costume of Tibet.
