It Happened in New Zealand

Ross Gore's feature, "It happened in New Zealand", which is reproduced weekly in a number of N.Z. newspapers, recently featured the history of the Dennis family, of Manutuke. Reprinted in "Photo News" by courtesy of Mr Gore, the feature details incidents from the life of Mr Thomas Dennis, or Tamati Kouri Teneti, who died this year in his 100th year. His son, Tom Dennis, Manutuke, was a Maori All Black, and many of the younger generation are well-known in Gisborne.
