Longest Yet

It looks as though the limit for the length of ships coming into Kaiti basin has just about been reached. Longest ship ever to turn in the basin the Argentinean Reefer, is pictured above. A recent visitor to the port, she is 374ft in length.

Previous record for the port was a sister ship, the Egyptian Reefer, 362ft, which called here on December 6 last year.

Few people were about to see the Argentinean Reefer arrive, as she came in at 5.30 a.m.
