Kaiti Sea Scouts and their supporters have been making big efforts during the winter to raise money for a Scout hall. One of their enterprises was to fell trees kindly donated by Mr Basil Crosby on his farm at Hexton, from which they cut 70 cords of wood for sale.
In front of truck, from left, are Messrs Bert Hanlen, Eric Faulkner, George Weatherley, Barry Hall, Ham Hannah, Davey Proffit, Keith Davis, Fraser. Simpson, Bob Nicoll, Sid Hall, Bill Peach and Alan Michie. On the truck are some of the boys who were helping.
