Peripatetic P.M.
The Prime Minister, Mr Nash, will certainly be remembered as a pioneer in the art of taking his office to the people, rather than asking the people to come to him. Whether this is desirable or not, Mr Nash has established a reputation for visiting more parts of the country more often than any of his predecessors.
On the occasion of the opening of the Red Cross conference, Mr Nash arrived at Gisborne from Wellington at 9.30 a.m. and left again at 11.20.
