Queen's Scout
Michael Farrier, a member of the Tainui Sea Scouts, receiving his Queen's Scout Certificate from the acting district commissioner, Mr G. M. S. Eider, at a recent ceremony. The award is the highest that a scout can win. Michael is a son of Mr and Mrs Phil Farrier, 13 Glasgow Terrace.
Other awards made on the same occasion were that of an assistant scout master's warrant to Ian Dudding (right), and at far right, second class scout badges to Michael Richardson, Basil Davoren, and Duffy Intemann.
