Indoor Bowls "En Masse"

The Array Hall presented an unfamiliar sight recently on the occasion of the annual tourney for the Robieson Shield, when hundreds of bowlers were to be seen in action on the one floor.

Usually, tournaments of this kind are held in a number of different halls.

Two long rows of mats were laid down in the hall, and from early morning till late afternoon the bowlers were hard at it. Pictures on this page show play in progress after the lunch break.
