Roving Camera

Pictures from R. Ward, Te Puia Springs, show the work being done to make a new highway on the Waiau Road, about 18 miles south of Te Puia. A large slip occurred there last winter, and a new deviation had to be blasted out of solid papa rock.

Gisborne bus passengers now have seats at bus stops. Six of these have been erected by an Auckland firm, Transport Publicity Ltd. In this picture, Mr Carl Langstaff, for the firm, is shown during the handing-over ceremony with the Mayor, Mr Barker, and the Town Clerk, Mr Hudson.
